The YMCAS of Missouri aspire to be anti-racist organizations, believing equity to be the dismantling of systems that oppress individuals, accomplished by the establishment of practices that are without regard to any personal identification of creed, belief, biological differentiation, or ethnicity.
Purpose:
The purpose of this equity screen is to utilize the YMCA’s core values to guide how the Missouri Alliance of YMCAs decides to endorse, support, remain neutral, or oppose statewide public policies. By utilizing this equity screen the Alliance’s Public Policy Committee and Board can ensure that the Y is focused on serving all in Missouri.
